  • Preparation
  • update the license file "license.dat" with the hostname of your computer
  1. check the hostname (assume winXP) -> start -> program -> accessories -> system tools -> system information -> check out system name (e.g "MyComputerName") there
  2. change line#1 of "license.dat"
from: "SERVER flexlmhostname ANY 5280"
to: "SERVER MyComputerName ANY 5280"


  • start installation by clicking "setup.exe"
  • setup license file
-> ignore the errors, e.g. "Error: Failure to parse FLEXlm License file.... Error ID#132"
  • install Or cad
-> control file location: make it blanked
